Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Joanne Rutter Ceramics. By using this website and purchasing products or services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Orders

  • All items are handmade and may vary slightly in size, colour, and finish.
  • Orders are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable after purchase, I will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund.
  • Once an order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email.

2. Payments

  • Payments are processed securely via Square.
  • I do not store or have access to your full card details.
  • Payment must be received in full before any order is processed or shipped.

3. Refund & Returns Policy

  • If your order arrives damaged, please send photographs of the item and packaging within 7 days of receipt, and I will arrange a refund or replacement.
  • For any other reason, items may be returned within 14 days of receipt, at your own cost. Returned items must be in their original condition.
  • If items are damaged during return transit, no refund will be issued.
  • Refunds will be processed via your original payment method.

4. Shipping

  • Orders are shipped via Royal Mail, Parcel Force, or DPD.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
  • I use recycled packaging wherever possible.
  • Estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout, but delays may occasionally occur which are beyond my control.

5. Tuition Bookings

  • Pottery sessions must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
  • Tuition fees are non-refundable.
  • If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to offer an alternative date.
  • In the event that I need to reschedule, I will contact you to offer an alternative date.
  • Sessions include materials and firing (unless otherwise stated). Additional charges may apply if your work fills the kiln.
  • Students are advised to wear old clothes and have short nails for practical reasons.

6. Intellectual Property

  • All designs, images, and content on this website are the property of Joanne Rutter Ceramics.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or use them without prior written consent.

7. Liability

  • I am not liable for any indirect loss or damage arising from use of the website or products purchased.
  • Pottery items are stoneware fired and durable, but should be used with care. Please follow the product care guidance provided.
